Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Roll Former Technician to support the smooth and efficient operation of our PIR panel production line. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background, solid technical and analytical skills, and a proven ability to operate, optimize, and maintain roll forming equipment while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Your key Competencies

➢ Set up, operate, and optimize roll forming machines to ensure dimensional accuracy, consistent product quality, and smooth operation of the PIR production line.

➢ Monitor and adjust production parameters to optimize line speed, material flow, forming accuracy, and overall efficiency of the PIR production process.

➢ Interpret engineering drawings, roll profiles, and technical specifications to ensure correct machine setup and compliance with PIR panel production requirements.

➢ Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and PIR line stability.

➢ Maintain accurate maintenance records, set up logs, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and traceability.

➢ Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing machine performance, reducing downtime, and improving product quality.

➢ Promote and strictly adhere to a strong HSE culture, including lockout/tagout procedures, machine guarding, safe work practices, and proactive hazard identification to ensure a safe production environment.

Qualifications & Skills

➢ Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.

➢ 2+ years of hands-on experience with roll forming machines or similar continuous production lines.

➢ Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues effectively.

➢ Experience working in a PIR panel production environment or insulated panel manufacturing is a strong asset.

➢ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a production team environment.

➢ Strong proficiency in English, with excellent writing and reporting skills.

Key Requirements

➢ Canadian safety tickets, including WHMIS, First Aid & CPR, are required.
➢ The position requires standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms. The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 50lb.
➢ Must be able to work 12-hour continental shifts.
➢ CSA-approved Safety shoes are a must.
